The VCEC has prepared a paper on CN inter-jurisdictional comparison after undertaking research of the different approaches to implementing competitive neutrality principles by Australian jurisdictions. The VCEC believes there is scope to learn from the different approaches.

EPA Victoria and the VCEC have agreed that VCEC formally review Policy Impact Assessments (PIAs) prepared by the EPA for State Environment Protection Policies and Waste Management Policies. The VCEC will assess PIA adequacy against the requirements of section 18C(1) of the Environment Protection Act 1970 and the appropriate sections of the Victorian Guide to Regulation.
